Moments in our lives

Spring is here and we are definitely ready for it. We've been spending every nice day outside that we can. There are also a lot of other things we have been up to, so this blog is an update on some Ross happenings the past few weeks.

First - here are my pregnancy pictures -
13 weeks
16 weeks
Just a note on the pregnancy, I was finding that I was in the in between stages with not fitting in my regular clothes, but maternity clothes looking ridiculous - so I found my new favorite place to shop! The Target girls department, I just get L or XL shirts and they fit perfect! (Luckily the style that is "in" right now are the flowy loose shirts, so that helps)

Luke is my new handy man. He wanted to fix the screw that came out of the table. I told him that daddy would fix it when he came home and he said "no mommy, I fix it."

And the biggest news is that Luke is potty trained! We started the "toilet training in less than a day" on March 14th. He did pretty well that day, then regressed a little but I didn't give up. So, 5 days after we started, he was telling us when he had to go and he's doing better and better every day since! He even tells us in public places and he tells his nursery workers/ caregivers at different places.
He got to pick out his own big boy underwear and he picked Thomas - here he is with his new underwear

Even the smallest size underwear they make was a little big, but with all the washing being done, they are fitting better :-)
The first week, it was a lot easier to put him in just underwear or nothing, so here's a typical picture around our house.
In other news, Kenneth had his wisdom teeth out on thursday, March 26th. So, here is his chipmunk look alike picture. The doctor said that his teeth were some of the hardest to get out. he had all 4 out and they were all impacted. So, he is still sore, bruised and swollen 5 days later. Poor thing, he also has at least one dry socket. But he can take the most pain of anyone I know because he went to work for a half day the day after surgery and full days this week so far (with a dry socket!).

These moments don't happen very often, so i had to get a picture of the kids quietly coloring and not fighting over crayons! And this was early in the morning when they are both usually grumpy!

Later that same day I found my son had crawled up into the chine cabinet/storage pantry/wedding photo display cabinet. there is just nothing he won't climb into or onto!

The kiddos watching dirt bike races with daddy (don't get any ideas, Luke! - my little stuntman)
I love it when Esther and Luke watch a movie together because Esther will say to Luke "Are you scared? do you want to sit in my lap?" and he usually will sit in her lap - it's so cute

So , this is what's been happening in our house. Soon to come- soccer season and Esther's 4th birthday!

Hey! Thanks for telling me about Bounce U. That sounds like so much fun.

Glad you are feeling better now. I am almost completely done being sick - thank you Lord! We are due Aug. 22 and just found out yesterday that we are having a girl. :)

Cute pictures of you and the fam. Hope that Kenneth is feeling better - no fun! Congrats on the potty training.
