A week of firsts

I've gotten behind on my blogging, so Esther's week of firsts was actually a couple weeks ago.

It started out on Sept. 3 with Esther's first time going to Awana Cubbies. She absolutely loves it! She got her vest the second week because she said 3 verses, and she got her first patch last night for saying more verses. She sings songs that she learns there and tells me the Bible stories that they learn.

On Sept. 6 Esther started her "big girl" gymnastics class. She's been taking gymnastics for about a year now, but she was in a class that we had to do with her, basically Kenneth or I was her teacher. Now, she is in the 3 year old class, and they don't have parents come in. There are 3 instructors and about 12- 3 and 4 year olds. She is learning how to follow directions and sit and listen. She really loves it and can't wait to go every week!

And her last "first" was on Sept. 11, she went to her first Spanish class. I found this language academy at a mom's event I went to a couple months ago. They teach about 8 different foreign languages to kids 3-10. She goes for one hour every week and she loves saying that she goes to school. They have a play room area (Luke can play in here while Esther is in her class) and then a schoolroom area. Also, this place is right by the mall! So, the past couple weeks, Luke and I have gone shopping while she is in school. :-)

And lastly, I have to throw a few pictures of Luke and Esther.

Luke is so funny, he loves to dance and he tries to immitate everything that Esther does - including throwing his foot up.

This is how they watch TV or movies sometimes - so sweet

That photo of Lukie dancing is a hoot! So cute to see the 2 in the chair together like that.

Did you notice that Esther usually has her head cocked to the right side? Hmmm. Does that mimic one of you?

Yea, she does always cock her head to the right. Is that like one of us?
