Zoo time!

A couple weeks ago (March 6), we took a trip to the zoo because the weather was nice! It was perfect weather - about 65 degrees, and Kenneth took a Friday off so we could go.
We had so much fun, however we did learn something.
We would not go until the weather is nice and warm consistently if we didn't have season passes. there were a lot of things that were closed (including every food place except one) and a lot of animals that weren't out. But, we actually still managed to spend about 3 hours seeing everything that was out and we all had a blast just getting out and enjoying time together.

Here's Kenneth and the kids looking at the elephants.

"fluffy" the world's largest python

our little princess

Luke looking at the flying squirrels that sleep hanging from their feet

The real tiger wasn't out, so the kids got to see the second best thing

I love this picture - and I must say it is the first good picture of the 4 of us taken with our camera ever!
The zoo also had a aquarium with a lot of interesting fish, turtles, manatees, etc... it was really cool
The kids had a good moment where they actually wanted to hold hands

This huge gorilla was hilarious. he would run back and forth and beat his chest (I didn't get that part on camera though).

Family outings are so much fun (even though the pregnant lady didn't get much to eat until after we left!) We're going to try and go again before our passes run out and hopefully ALL the animals will be out. This trip was great though because it was the first trip that Luke enjoyed a lot. He talks about all the animals, and now he got to see them.
