January

Well, we haven't done a whole lot of exciting stuff this month, but here are some things that we have been up to:

Playing in the snow

Luke seeing how many trains he can string together

In early January we got our family room carpet cleaned, so for a day we had all our furniture in the dining room. The kids had fun running around in that room without any furniture!
and jumping from couch to couch

Luke surrounded by all his soccer balls, basketballs, baseballs and footballs

the kids just started taking the cushions off the couch and jumping on it that way

Last Monday - Jan 19th - some friends (well, they're really like family) came over who were visiting from Texas. (Uncle Ron and Aunt Nonie). Esther hadn't seen them for over a year, but she took right to them like always. Esther wanted to cuddle with Uncle Ron, comb his hair and tickle both of them all night. She's been so sad since they left, saying how much she loves them.
Luke did too

this past weekend - Jan. 24th- Kenneth and I had the chance to get away for the weekend, thanks to my best friend and my sister. Esther went to my sister's house on Friday and got to play with her cousins, Luke went to my friend Becca's house on Saturday- she has a son who is 3 months older than Luke.

Here is Esther ready with her two rolling suitcases to go to her cousins house. We took her on Friday to my sister's house, then we had a night to spend time with just Luke.
Luke helping daddy bring in his suitcase - it got up to 48 degrees today, so Luke and I also played a little soccer outside.

Luke had fun getting rides on Daddy
When we picked Luke up he had a fever and a bad cold - so he and I stayed home while daddy picked Esther. We watched "Elmo" twice while snuggling on the couch.

We discovered that Esther has the exact same pair of PJ's Karis had, but in a different size. (the yellow ones) Karis had them in a 2T, I think. We'll have to do the overnight thing again so I can get a picture of the girls in their Sunday dresses . . . it was pretty cute!
