The train

About a month ago, we went to a festival that was only about a half mile from our house. The kids favorite thing (and ours too) was this little mini train that we all got rides on. This train is so cool, it gives you a long ride all around the park - kids and adults both like it.

Well, it happens to be an independent company that has their train rides about 8 times during the summer. So, we got their schedule and we decided to go back this past saturday. I'ts only $1 a person to ride, but we got the "season's pass" that was $10 because we figured we'd get our money out of it.

First, the kids ate lunch on Saturday and I got some pictures of them saying their prayers. Luke is learning how to pray, well he knows how to fold his hands and cover his eyes at least. It is also so nice now that Luke is 17 months, he is old enought to sit at the counter with Esther and eat, it is so much easier for them to both just sit at the counter and eat. So, here are the kids praying and eating at the counter:

We told LUke to close his eyes, so this is what he did.

Esther giving LUke a bite of her sandwich (she's more than happy to give him any food she can get rid of).

Luke all ready to go

I love you , Luke

They had one train where the kids could sit IN the train car. And they actually both sat there the entire time.

The train goes over the hills and through the woods

When you go to leave the park, there is a little museum and these statues of Oville and Wilber Wright talk and move their hands (which look totally real)

Who are these guys talking??

As Great Grandma Emch always used ot say, "Blessed are they who go in big circles for they shall be called big wheels." And it looks like the kiddos were getting a dose of the "Wright" stuff! mm

I can't believe how long and curly Esther's hair is getting! The train ride looks like a blast . . . do they come up anywhere near us??

Hey, thanks for the vacation pix - they're really cute!
